This event will take you back in time to the roaring 1920's. Hope Harbor's SpeakOUT Speakeasy is a night of food, dancing and a silent auction at The Charleston in beautiful downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky. The SpeakOUT Speakeasy is from 7:00pm to 10:00pm CT on September 13, 2025.
Sexual assault and abuse have been taboo topics for far too long—spoken about in hushed tones, much like the hidden Speakeasies of the 1920s. Our event’s name is intentionally chosen to bring these issues out of the shadows. It’s time to open the door to real conversations, to let survivors know they are not alone, and to make sure everyone knows that support and services are available. Talking about it is not only allowed—it’s necessary.
Over the past 40 years, Hope Harbor estimates 12,350 survivors have received survivor services in a multitude of ways.
· 10,920 emergency crisis hotline calls
· 2300 medical accompaniments
· 48,000 counseling sessions
· 327,000 prevention programs and professional training participants
· …the list goes on and on.
The true impact of our work isn’t measured by the number of services provided or the number of people served—it’s reflected in the lives that have been changed through our agency over the years.
All proceeds from the event benefit free services provided by Hope Harbor to survivors of sexual assault and abuse within the Barren River Area Development District. Must be 21 years or older to attend. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
